At Made to Dance we understand the factors that come into play which add tremendous stress to an already stressful occasion - your special recital. The number of mothers who can sew are rapidly diminishing. The cost of fabric and trimmings is continually rising. Lack of storage space and precious time are also problems. Let us take some of the load off your shoulders. Check out our "For Hire" section. Our Hire costumes are in excellent condition and are affordable for even the smallest dance company.
If you are one of those mothers with limited sewing abilities, you may be interested in our "For Hire" costumes. We are happy to accept single or small orders.
On the other hand, you may want to give your child the winning edge with an original and innovative "Heartsong Creation". One-offs and garments made to your requirements under this label are offered in the "For Sale" section.
HEARTSONG CREATIONS
As a child, Maxine, the person behind "Heartsong Creations", was always fascinated by fashion and had a burning curiosity as to how shapes come together to form a garment. This led her to commence the Fashion Technology Certificate at East Sydney Technical College, studying subjects such as garment assembly, fitting techniques, pattern-making, pattern construction, fashion design, millinery, leatherwork, children's wear, men's wear, tailoring, stretch-wear, lingerie and swimwear. Since graduation, Maxine has been involved in the design and construction of children's clothing, bridal wear, swimwear and dancewear, with a particular emphasis and interest in using stretch fabric.
2004 has seen the birth of her label "Heartsong Creations". This is an expression of how the creation of a beautiful costume for dance or adornment makes her feel.
Her garments are available on this website in the "For Sale" section to purchase as one-offs. She is also willing to make up garments to suit individual requirements.
